Stock Info

I have always been fascinated and curious about the stock market. It wasn’t fully discussed in one of my major subjects in college so I am still in the learning process of how everything works.

This is probably one of the reasons why I want to visit New York. It houses the “financial district” because of the several stock and other exchanges being headquartered in Wall Street, Manhattan like the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NASDAQ) and the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT).

I particularly would want to see the NYSE, also casually called “Big Board”, because it is the largest stock exchange in the world in terms of dollar volume. It is where people trade their stocks and other securities. Stock exchanges also has facilities for redeeming and/or issuing securities such as shares of stock issued by companies and bonds. In addition to the process of “trading”, stock brokers and traders also consider the foreign exchange market (or forex) which is the market for exchanging money in one currency for another. I am interested in how the transaction actually goes, and from there, who knows, one day I might be one of the brokers who you might be dealing with?

Call Center Industry in our country has indeed stepped up for the past years thus it is regarded as one of the fastest growing industries we have today. Continuous growth is evident as Business process outsourcing became the latest trend in the service sector in the 2000s and was led or being led by demand for Offshore call centers.

Call Center Industry is the fastest growing provider for college graduates as well. This industry indeed made an impact among people on different sectors for it opened a lot of job opportunities for those who are seeking one. Our government has been so supportive for this industry that they have opened themselves not thinking of the bad effects that this job might cause. Offshoring is another type of outsourcing, work is offshored to reduce labor expenses. In our country who has a highly literate and educated population, as well as language affinities with the United States, has become a popular offshoring region for call center and customer support.
